PALGHAR: A five-year-old boy died after his neighbour mixed poison in his drinking water to settle a long-standing land dispute with his family, police said on Wednesday.
The incident took place in Kalsheti locality on November 3 when accused Dhakal Dharlya Dighe allegedly mixed poison in the drinking water of his neighbour's house to settle scores with his (boy's) family after the victim's grandfather purchased the disputed piece of land recently, PI Keshavrao Naik of Jawhar police station told PTI.

30-year-old Dighe from tribal Jawhar taluka here has been arrested.
The matter came to light when the boy and his younger sister left for school after consuming food and water, and started complaining of giddiness and vomiting following which they were rushed home, police said.

Soon after, the boy, Ashok Vinayak Charal, died but the sister Roshni (4) was saved after being admitted to the Patanghsa Cottage hospital here, police said.

How and what poison was mixed in the drinking water which only the kids drank? How it is that others in the house did not show any symptoms if it was mixed in the common source of drinking water? Was the water analyzed for presence of poison. The reports like these do not give details of the case. The family must have simply accused the neighbour and police got his confession under duress.
如何下毒的，下的是什么毒？怎么只有孩子才喝？如果是在公共的饮用水里下毒，为什么其他人没有表现出症状？水有拿去分析吗？这些细节都未得到披露

Extremely sad and painful incident. What did the neighbour get by poisoning drinking water of the children? Cowardly and mean act deserves to be condemned strongly. The man had a land dispute with the children's grandfather which could have settled in a court of law. The accused deserve severest punishment for the abominable act.
