The first passengers have travelled at an incredible 311 mph on a hovering bullet train in Japan.
日本第一批旅客乘坐旅行时速达到311英里的悬浮高铁。
The maglev trains have been tested before between the cities of Uenohara and Fuefuki but now members of the public have been allowed on board for the first time.

The 27-mile trip went by in a flash for the 100 passengers as the train, which "floats" above tracks using magnetic levitation, hit speeds of 311 mph (500 kmph).

maglev trains have little maintenance if any at all because there is no wear n tear. bullet trains need it a lot as wear and tear is high.

I like the fast passenger trains in India which run at average 40km/hr giving ample time to observe the scenery , buy garam pakoras and chai and small town stations, ability to get down and light a cigarette when it is stopped in the middle of nowhere because the signal is red....lol.... Guys can you have such a unique experience on 500kmph trains?
