Thanks Charles for coming here and posting comments. In fact in India too, the parents attach a lot of importance to education. I remember when I was in college, my father's friends would ask him to buy some land for making a house but my father would say, I am building four houses simultaneously ( meaning that- supporting four children through college, which was too much for him with his small salary) Education indeed is very necessary for the progress of any nation. The story of the fathers robbing and stealing may be an exaggeration because besides giving proper education, giving right set of morals also is the responsibility of the parents

Indeed, Chinese parents attach great importance to the education of their children. ( but I rarely hear about to robbers or thieves to make money for their children's education in my hometown ).

I don't know why India want to invade China in 1962, Chinese repeatedly make concessions, While India contune to moving forward, and said that they will go to Beiing. and finally Chinese had to fight back and stop India Constantly invade China

Dear Suresh Ji,

It is indeed heartening to see the two nations talking of co-operation. I hope the border issues to get sorted out. In fact after 1962 war India has been ever suspicious of China. Until a short while ago I had no idea of what Chinese thought of the war. I got to read about their version of the story when one blog of mine that broached this subject got viral. Here's the link to that

It was a shock for me to know that Chinese story was entirely different from ours and they think that India imposed a war on them. Well, that issue may not get sorted out ever but as regards border issues, the Chinese who interact with me say that it were the British who marked the border between India and China and it was done unilaterally. China was not a signatory to this and China was too weak to stand up and speak, however China of today doesn't have any territorial ambitions and I think there are leaders aren't stupid to consider engaging in war with India to divert the attention of the people from other pressing issues as does Pakistan. Chinese know that for them to be the world leaders, peace and friendship with India will be paramount.

From what ichong was only a few decades ago (part 1 pics) this is amazing transformation. Is there anything China can't do! We should get China's help to transform old cities in India like Varanasi for example.

Hello iynagyang- Let's not start this topic again. No Indian believes that it was Indian aggression and frankly speaking, you can't say with certainty that it was India who started the war. Neither India or China wanted this war because they were poor and not prepared to fight. There was no ammunition, no food rations, no technical know how, no roads and armory but it was kind of belligerence of one leader and stupidity of the other.

没有印度人会相信是印度发起侵略的。坦白说，你无法肯定是印度发起了那场战争。不仅印度，而且中国也不想打那场战争，两国都是穷国，不准备打仗。没有弹药，没有口粮，没有技术，没有公路，没有武器，都是一方领导人的好战外加另一方领导人的愚蠢所致。
