We surely have a serious issue with the Su-30, either with teh equipment or with the pilots who fly it. At this rate, no matter how many we buy, it will not be enough.

I am tired of these airforce plane crashes. How can we afford to loose so many fighters in peace time. I hope all processes we are following in training and maintenance should be reviewed. This problem is made worse by our inability to develop our own planes. Or is this some tactic to force our government buy more planes?

Poor parts and shoddy maintenance by our Indian organisations are turning the Su 30 into Mig 21s very fast. We should give the entire defence manufacturing and maintenance to private sector and shut down this money guzzling public sector junks.

I fully agree with you.One IAF person told there is lot difference in quality of SU30 Mki manufactured by Russia and India. PSU workers are interested only in earning money, not improving the quality ( less work, more pay).
