Sreenath Prem (Bangalore) Instead of investing time and money on these high speed dreams, what India needs now is revam of the exsiting railway infrastructure with features like cab signalling, bio toilets etc. Efforts should also be taken increase the cleanliness and the punctuality of the trains. Also phase out all the ICF rakes with new LHB ones. We should only start thinking about high speed travel once these objectives are met.

就旅行时间来说，其实跟国内的许多特快比没有优势。
跑195公里花了115分钟，速度就是101公里每小时。
返程的速度更慢。195公里花了145分钟，时速只有80公里。
他们居然称之为印度的特快列车？
火车达到160公里的时速也只是几秒钟的事。

Jay (US) Are we kidding ourselves ? After 67 years of Independence is this all that Indian Railways could come up with ? Is this what the world calls fast? Are we going to be proud of this "achievement" ? Besides everything, the data does not support the claimed speeds. If we do not want to totally privatize Railways, lets allow Private sector to co-exst and run trains as well(freight & passenger).
