KALBURGI (Kar): At least two persons were killed and eight others injured when nine coaches of a Mumbai-bound train derailed near Kalburgi in Karnataka early on Saturday.
周六凌晨，卡纳塔克邦一列开往孟买的火车在古尔伯吉附近脱轨，至少2人死亡，8人受伤。
The incident took place at Martur village station, about 20 kilometres from Kalburgi. Two persons were killed and eight injured in the mishap, Amit Singh, Kalburgi Superintendent of Police, said.
事故发生在马特尔站附近，距离古尔伯吉大约20公里。古尔伯吉警司阿米特辛格说，两名乘客在事故中遇难，8人受伤。
"Two people died and eight others are injured after Mumbai-bound Lokmanya Tilak Express from Secunderabad derailed at Martur station," he said.
他说，“从塞康德拉巴德开往孟买的特快列车在马特尔火车站脱轨，两人死亡，另外8人受伤。”
Singh said nine coaches of the train derailed between 2.15am to 2.20am.

The rescue operations are on and the injured people have been rushed to Solapur Government Hospital in Maharashtra, Singh added.

I always feel bumpy rail journey on this route. This stretch needs to be re-looked from engineering perspective, esp. when India Railways are planning for high-speed Rails.
