印度将培养世界最多的工程师
LONDON: India is all set to produce the world's largest number of engineers.
The first ever global report commissioned by the Queen Elizabeth Prize for Engineering and to be made public on Monday has revealed that while just 20% of 16 to 17 year-olds from the UK and 30% from the USA are interested in an engineering career, in India the rate is as high as 80% - the highest in the world.
The report will also unveil another interesting finding - India has closed the gender gap in engineering to an all-time low of 14% in 2015.
受伊丽莎白女王工程奖委托将于周一公开发表的第一份全球报告披露，年龄介于16-17岁中对工程师职业感兴趣的，英国的比例为20%，美国的比例是30%，而印度的这一比例高达80%，居世界之首。
报告披露了另一项有趣发现，2015年印度从事工程的性别差距缩小至最低的14%。
Around 66% men in the world are interested in engineering while the figure stands as low as 43% for women globally. However when it comes to India, both men and women have shown great interest in engineering - the highest percentage in the world.
While 85% Indian men have shown interest in engineering, the number stands at a close 79% among women in India.
In comparison, 62% women in are interested in taking up engineering as a career, 55% in Brazil, 48% in Turkey, as low as 35% in US, 33% in Germany, 28% in UK and 27% in Japan.
世界上66%的男性对工程感兴趣，而女性的这一比例为43%。然而，就印度而言，男性和女性均对工程表现出浓厚兴趣，比例是世界最高的。
85%的印度男性对工程表现出兴趣，而印度女性以79%的比例紧随其后。
比较之下，62%的女性对从事工程师这一职业感兴趣，巴西是55%，土耳其48%，而美国低至35%，德国33%，英国28%，日本27%。

We produce donkeys, who can follow a standard procedure of work... nothing more nothing less... that's all! We can't work without overtime. We find it difficult to leave our desk on time and go home to family and friends. For few dollars more all ready the screwww there own family life! Indian trained "engineers" are only considered low-end technicians in the west due to low quality training (if they weren't fake diplomas).

I was on a flight in the US recently and saw an Indian engineer, who looked Gujurati. The guy was consuming black bean burger for lunch. After he was done, the guy burps loudly 4-5 times to the amusement of other passengers, like its okay to burp in front of everyone. Being Indian I had to distance myself from this person for lack of a better word than 'shame'. This is the quality of our engineers. Degrees dont make you the most developed nation in the world. Innovation, Entrepreneurship, Character and Discipline develop communities and countires. We do not posses any of that.
最近我在美国坐飞机，看到一名印度工程师，看起来像是古吉拉特人。
这个家伙的午餐是黑豆汉堡。吃完后，这个家伙打嗝了4-5次，声音挺大的，逗乐了其他乘客。
作为印度人，我不得不与这个不知羞耻的家伙保持距离。
这就是我们工程师的素质。
单靠文凭并不能让你成为世界上最发达的国家
你需要创新、企业家精神和纪律素养，而这是我们所缺乏的。

OMG ... how come Apna Bharat cannot build high speed railways like the ... or how come the manufacturing sector is not as progressive as ... numbers have no meaning .. it is the quality that counts man !!!

Unfortunately most of them are from third rate institutes, and largely unemployable. My own nephew is a graduate of such an institute and was unemployed for 4 years till his father hot him a job as a teacher at another useless institution through bribery
不幸地是，大多数工程师是三流学院培养的，很大一部分不能被雇佣。

As far as quality is concerned, excepting a few institutes only hell knows of it .....
