印度铁道部加快孟买高铁项目
NEW DELHI: The railways ministry has fast-tracked the Mumbai-Ahmedabad bullet train corridor by setting up a separate company, on the lines of the Delhi Metro Railway Corporation (DMRC), which will build and operate the NDA government's ambitious project.
The company will be registered in January. The process has already being initiated by Indian Railway Finance Corporation (IRFC), reflecting the state-run transporter's intent to accelerate the actual work on the Modi government's dream project expected to put the country's railway sector in the big league.
印度铁道部按照德里地铁集团的模式成立一家独立的公司,加快孟买至艾哈迈达巴德高铁走廊的进度。
公司会于1月份注册。印度铁路金融公司已经启动了这一进程,反应了该国营运输机构旨在加快莫迪高铁梦的意图,从而把该国铁路部门带入一个“大联盟”。
The corridor is likely to have 12 stations between Mumbai and Sabarmati/Ahmedabad and the tariff would be 1.5 times of first AC fare.
全线可能设置12个车站,票价会是空调一等座的1.5倍。

Indian Tax payer is poor perhaps, but not the Indians living in Posh flats that go over 10 to 15 crores. India needs fast trains, fast everything, even MEGLEV as in Shanghai. More we speed our trains, less the need for some 30 lakh blankets and their washing on daily basis. cuts 1000 km in 5 hrs in regular bullet trains. Why can we not do the same? No need for overnight slee trains, just sit and enjoy a classy train ride for a few hours for the most.
