SINGAPORE: US fighter jet maker Lockheed Martin on Thursday said it is ready to manufacture F-16 aircraft in India and supports the ongoing talks between the two countries to set up the first manufacturing facility, one of the largest projects under the 'Make in India' initiative.
2月18日，美国战机厂商洛克希德马丁准备在印度生产F16战机，支持两国正在进行的谈判，建立第一家生产设施，而这是“印度制造”计划最大的项目之一。
"We are ready to manufacture F-16 in India and support the Make in India initiative," Phil Shaw, chief executive of Lockheed Martin India Private Ltd told reporters at the Singapore Airshow 2016.

But the American corporation's executive did not commit any time-frame to have the plant operational, saying the group supports the ongoing government-to-government talks.

Good Make them in India and sell them to Pak, insert a spy chip in them which make them useless if Pak F16s enter Indian airspace again.

Both are completely different thing.. while in USA top minds from all over world (including Indians) are working, in DRDO only left over minds (after brain-drain to US) are working.. If you want to compare then compare with countries with similar position as India..

F16 is a old flying machine already with Pakistan since 1980's . It's first flight was on January 1974 !!! Since then US has done Only improvements and upgradation. Still inferior to Sukhoi , Rafael, F22 , F35, Eurofighter and other exsting fighter panes. Even our Tejas is better than that.
