HYDERABAD: Indian scientists were aware of Zika virus way back in 1950s and had even stored a vial of the pathogen, which has now emerged as a global health threat, a senior government official said on Thursday.

Then why it was not publicized before? There are no articles to that effect by any Indian Scientists in any of the leading medical journals. We say that Indians invented air crafts and flown them thousands of years before. We say that Indians used missiles in famous wars fought thousands of years before. We say that surgeries were performed without anesthesia in good old days in India. When such is the case why there is no scientific invention in India?
