even though our mig 21 have been updated very freq but still today it is old tech ..... migs are no longer reliable and the good news is we r removing em frm army ...... by 2017 we will remove few squadrons of migs and by 2020 all 250 approx migs will be removed ...... TEJAS MK1A is now ready to take charge of migs and be our interceptor .... we will now be building 16 tejas per annum so its good and on time

Dilip De Before take off the planes should be checked thoroughly using most modern machine for faults detection. Even if planes are somewhat old, faults can be rectified. If they cannot be rectified, why to take off and to risk life? If the faults can be rectified it is better for the defense rather than crashing them on ground
