男子跳入恒河后消失的视频在网上走红
DEHRADUN: A 27-year-old man jumped into the raging waters of the Ganga near Haridwar allegedly at the behest of his friends who wanted to record the "dramatic act" on their mobile phones. The man, who had reportedly consumed liquor, was initially hesitant but after being egged on by his friends finally dived into the river and sank without a trace.
The shocking video made by his friends meanwhile has gone viral, with many people sharing it on social media.
The body of Ashish Chauhan, a resident of Gandhmirpur in Bhadrabad, Haridwar, is yet to be found, more than 48 hours after he took the deadly plunge in Gangnahar (Ganga canal) on Tuesday.

It was a regular Tuesday afternoon for Chauhan and his friends Ashwini Chauhan and Balraj Kumar as they made their way through the woods to the canal. After settling down, the trio reportedly consumed liquor and then decided to go for a swim and shoot it on their mobile phones.
Chauhan seemed a bit hesitant at first but then decided to take the jump anyway. When he did not surface for a long time the two friends got worried and tried to locate him. After all efforts to find their friend failed, the duo reported the matter at the nearest police station.
The cops along with a team of jal police launched a search operation but the body could not be located even until Thursday. Chauhan's friends are shocked by the incident as they claim that he was a good swimmer and the group would regularly swim in Gangnahar.
那是一个普通的周二下午，Chauhan和两位朋友穿过树林来到河边。坐下来后，三人据称喝了酒，然后决定游泳，并用手机拍下。

Meanwhile, the video made by the friends has gone viral, with some TV channels broadcasting it and social media users sharing it widely.
Talking to TOI, station officer (Bhadrabad), Amar Chandra Sharma, said, "It appears that the gushing waters carried the body away."
The official also said that Chauhan's family has not registered a police complaint. "In a letter the family handed over to the police team they said it was an accident and they do not blame anyone for the man's death," Sharma added.
视频在网上火了。一些电视台进行了播放，社交媒体用户也广泛分享。
警官Sharma对印度时报记者说，“似乎湍急的河水卷走了尸体。”
