印度推动与俄罗斯就五代战机和“超级苏霍伊战机”展开谈判
NEW DELHI: India is finally taking forward the negotiations with Russia on stalled mega projects to jointly develop a futuristic fifth-generation fighter aircraft (FGFA) as well as upgrade its exsting Sukhoi- 30MKI jets into 'Super Sukhois' with advanced avionics and weapons.
Though India and France are now close to inking the estimated 7.8 billion euro deal for 36 Rafale jets, the defence ministry acknowledges that just 36 fighters will not be enough to stem the country's haemorrhaging air combat power.
印度最终提出来，与俄罗斯就停滞的大型项目展开谈判，这些项目是联合研发五代战机，以及用先进的电子装备和武器，把现有的苏霍伊30MKI战机升级为超级苏霍伊战机。
虽然，印度和法国即将签署78亿欧元的36架阵风战机合同，然而印度国防部承认，只有36架战机不足以弥补印度大量失去的空战力量。
The IAF is down to just 33 fighter squadrons — including 11 obsolete MiG-21 and MiG-27 squadrons slated for retirement — when at least 42 are required to keep the "collusive -Pakistan threat" at bay.
印度空军已经缩编为只有33个战机中队，其中有11个过时的米格21和米格27中队，注定将会淘汰的那种，而要牵制和巴基斯坦，印度至少需要42个战机中队。
