NEW DELHI: Fans of Indian sport were given two heart-breaking results on day three of the 2016 Rio Olympics, both within moments of each other. Having beaten Ireland 3-2 in their first group match on Saturday, the men's hockey team+ conceded a goal with three seconds left to lose 1-2 to Germany; not long after, Abhinav Bindra+ exted his final Olympics by ending fourth in the final of the men's 10m air rifle event - missing out on a bronze medal by just 0.1 points.
2016年里约奥运会第三天，印度体育迷迎来了两个让人心碎的成绩。在第一场小组赛上以3比2打败爱尔兰队后，男子曲棍球队在对阵德国队的最后剩下3秒输掉一球，以1比2输给德国队。不久后，在男子10米气步枪的决赛中，宾德拉以第4名的成绩结束了他的最后一次奥运会，仅以0.1环的成绩错失铜牌。
Though India's hockey team have four games to go in Rio de Janeiro, for Bindra - gold medalist at the 2008 Beiing Games - his last appearance at the Games ended in agony. In his third final in five attempts, Abhinav bowed out of the competition at fourth place at the Olympic Shooting Centre.

It is very difficult for India to do well in Olympics.
A nation of puny and malnourished weaklings cannot aspire to compete against world class athletes.
Maybe if hand/Cycle Rickshaw race , Cow-Dung lifting or Pan masala Spitting had been Olympic sports we could have done well and won some medals.

Like cricket other games need sponsors and world class training facilities. If India cannot provide, then the best performers should be send abroad for training.

Olympic games is tough competition, needs training with world class facilities and coaches while the players also must be both mentally as well as physically fit. India with so much corporates must partner in this endeavour to see Infia achieve greatness in Olympics. Hope in the next four to eight years we may prtform much better.We should not feel sad for this performances as such failures are the step stones for success.
