Democracy has nothing to do with development, if not nothing, it is a factor towards development but not the only factor. China and Russia(was) are co unist. But they are developed. Development depends on how fast you adjust to changing demographics and technologies. Moving ahead at right time and investing at right resources lead to development. For Example, Middle East used their oil money to invest in tourism and airports. Their airlines are ranked in top 10 all the time. India missed this opportunity.

But Democracy means freedom. Freedom is one thing which we in abundance. This is not possible in China. You can not protest, you can not talk bad about the government.

The biggest bad thing in India is Castes and Religions. This is definitely stop development in India. In China 80% of them do not have any religion and for that matter 100% of them do not follow any religion.
