MUMBAI: At least 22 persons were killed and many injured in a stampede at Elphinstone railway station's foot over bridge.
Officials confirmed that 22 people have died in the stampede
The incident occurred on the foot over bridge which is known to be crowded most of the times and especially during peak hours.
According to the TV reports, heavy rains triggered the chaos which resulted in a stampede at the Mumbai local railway station.
Medical team has been rushed to the spot.

Problem here is overcrowded Mumbai..no political party can solve this. there is just too many people relying on city I infrastructure.. plus in this cases it takes one idiot to start panick and crowd goes berserk. !

There are many railway stations in India where foot over bridge facilities are extremely inadequate. GoI would be spend billions for bullet train, but averse to spending few lakhs for such purposes. Why blame poor bhaiyas! Blame babus, burn netas.
