World Bank says India has huge potential, projects 7.3% growth in 2018

世界银行称印度潜力巨大，预计2018年将增长7.3%

WASHINGTON: With an "ambitious government undertaking comprehensive reforms", India has "enormous growth potential" compared to other emerging economies, the World Bank said on Wednesday, as it projected country's growth rate to 7.3 per cent in 2018 and 7.5 for the next two years.

华盛顿：世界银行周三表示，随着“政府雄心壮志的全面改革”，与其他新兴经济体相比，印度拥有“巨大增长潜力”，预计2018年将取得7.3%增长率，未来两年增长率为7.5%。

He said in comparison with , which is slowing, the World Bank is expecting India to gradually accelerate.

和经济正放缓的相比，世界银行预计印度将逐渐加速。

"The growth numbers of the past three years were very healthy," Kose, author of the report, said.
In 2017, grew at 6.8 per cent, 0.1 per cent more than that of India, while in 2018, its growth rate is projected at 6.4 per cent. And in the next two years, the country's growth rate will drop marginally to 6.3 and 6.2 per cent, respectively.

“过去三年的增速非常健康。”报告作者表示，“2017年，经济增长为6.8%，比印度高出0.1%，而在2018年，这一增长将为6.4%。未来两年，增长率将分别下降到6.3%和6.2%。”
