India sixth wealthiest country with total wealth of $8,230 billion: Report

NEW DELHI: India has been ranked sixth in the list of wealthiest countries with total wealth of $8,230 billion, while the United States topped the chart, says a report by New World Wealth.

新德里：世界新财富报告显示，印度在全球最富有的国家中排名第六，总财富为82300亿美元，美国位居榜首。

According to the report, the United States is the wealthiest country in the world as the total wealth held in 2017 amounted to $64,584 billion, followed by at the second place with $24,803 billion and Japan with $19,522 billion at third.

根据这份报告，美国是世界上最富有的国家，2017年的总财富为645840亿美元，第2，248030亿美元，日本为195220亿美元排名第3。

Total wealth, refers to the private wealth held by all the individuals living in each country/city. It includes all their assets (property, cash, equities, business interests) less any liabilities. The report, however, excludes government funds from its figures.

总财富指的是居住在某国家/城市的所有人所拥有的私人财富。它包括资产(财产，现金，股票，商业利益)减去负债。然而，该报告将政府资金排除在数据之外。

Others in the list include United Kingdom (4th, $9,919 billion), Germany (5th, $9,660 billion), France (7th, $6,649 billion), Canada (8th, $6,393 billion), Australia (9th, $6,142 billion) and Italy (10th, $4,276 billion).

The report further noted that India was the best performing wealth market globally in 2017 as its total wealth swelled from $6,584 billion in 2016 to $8,230 billion in 2017, registering a 25 per cent growth.

该报告进一步指出，印度是2017年全球表现最好的财富市场，其总财富从2016年的65840亿美元增至2017年的82300亿美元，增长25%。
