An Air China plane was left with a ga hole yesterday after it had apparently struck a bird during a three-hour flight.

Shocking pictures show a one-metre-wide (3.28-foot-wide) hole with bloodstains at the tip of the Boeing 737-800 after it landed in Hong Kong.

The airline company, which is China's national flag carrier, said all parts of the aircraft worked well during the flight and no passengers were injured.

The Air China flight CA 103 took off at Tianin Binhai International Airport at 10:21am and arrived at Hong Kong International Airport at 1:13pm.

据报道，一架国际航空CA103客机，于当天上午10:21从天津滨海国际机场起飞，下午1点13分抵达香港国际机场。

Air China told MailOnline that all passengers were arranged to leave the aircraft safely once it landed.

国航对每日邮报记者说，抵达香港后，乘客被安排有序下机。

The airline company said it's investigating the incident.
