This is the incredible moment a decades-old exhibition centre in south-west China is torn down in a short 10-second blast.

The nearby area were sealed as local police evacuated residents during the explosion.

According to People's Daily Online, the demolition project of the massive Shawan Exhibition and Convention Centre, in Chengdu of Sichuan Province started since September 8, last year.

有着几十年历史的成都沙湾会展中心，短短10秒就成功爆破拆除。据人民日报报道，2017年9月8日，沙湾会展中心的部分展馆区域就陆续启动了拆除工作。

Shawan Exhibition and Convention Centre was an iconic landmark when it was built by Chengdu People's Governmet 20 years ago, according to Cover News.

It hosted over 620 events including national and international exhibitions, as well as conferences.

沙湾会展中心是20年前建的，当时是成都的地标性建筑。

至今，沙湾会展中心已经举办了超过620场次的国内和国际性展览以及会议。

Dismantling like this create so much dust especially in an enclosed place. They should have at least used spray water or even do it on a rainy day.
