The costs are ridiculously asymmetrical. Whilst skip within the UK is dirt cheap if sent from China, it costs a fortune the other way. I was quoted over £40 for returning a faculty phone via tracked postage bought via a market seller on Amazon, to try and get a refund. Crazy. China, which I know reasonably well, is in a far healthier economic state than Britain, so this should be sorted out. The Royal Mail must be losing a lot of revenue from this. Same in Belgium. Lots of small packets I received from China, some of the goods cost less than ¿1 but the postage was invariably free.

Think good. Brits can enjoy the mentality that "our country developed, your country underdeveloped" , which means "I am above, you under". You guys just pay a little bit for a big vanity.
我觉得不错啊，英国人可以享受“我们是发达国家，你们国家是不发达国家”的心态，也就是说“我地位高，你地位低”。你们只是为了虚荣心付出一点成本罢了。

Shame that the Government no longer owns the Royal Mail otherwise they may have been able to compete with "subsidised Chinese postal rates".......

Have had the odd thing off ebay from china and postagen egligble.wondered why.Wont buy from there or Amaz if can be avoided. Its terrible havinng lost all our manufacturing. My small cooker that broke down from Andrew James comes from china. so does most of not cheap clothiing and shoes from Cotton Traders. One good thing most underwear is from India thank heavens

If China and the EU join together in this Tariff War, the US will have practically no economical power left. China a develo nation with army, navy, airforce and space program massively greater than ours!! I paid 20% VAT for glasses from USA and China delivers everything at 0 VAT. Our government is totally unfit for purpose.
