If one dies getting on or off train, Railways must pay compensation: Supreme Court

最高法院：乘客上下车时死亡，铁路必须赔偿

NEW DELHI: The Supreme Court ruled on Wednesday that the railways would be liable to pay compensation to passengers in case of death or injury while boarding and de-boarding trains and said it cannot deny such claims citing negligence on the part of passengers.

周三，印度最高法院规定，乘客上下车出事故而死亡或受伤，印度铁路有责任进行赔偿，不能以乘客自己疏忽为理由进行推脱。

Excellent. Thats why in developed countries trains have doors and other safety systems so the driver does not move the train before doorways are clear.

This is crazy. I have personally seen many jum of the train before it has come to a halt. There are also others who try to board the train after it has started. Then there are others who try to board the unreserved coaches before the train halts. These people should be punished rather than compensated

Instead why should not we have more trains, automatic doors and more security measures, so that people wont hang outside the trains and fall off!! Are the judges in supreme court so dumb and stupid?

还不如多买一些火车来跑，装上自动门，加强安全措施。别让乘客挂在火车外，别让乘客掉下来！
