DRDO deserves a salute. Whenever we are forced to do anything without any other alternative we always come up with amazing solutions. Missile tech can't be exported hence we had no option and we built the some of the best and accurate ballistic missile systems. Space tech too we had no option but to do it on our own without foreign help and today ISRO is an example to the world. Similarly our armed forces need to sometimes have to go for indigenous products, because they are too used to getting expensive world class off the shelf weapons.
