By 2022, India vows to stop single-use plastics

印度发誓2022年前停止使用一次性塑料

EW DELHI: India on the occasion of the World Environment Day on Tuesday pledged to eliminate all single-use plastics (items like carry bags, straws and water bottles among others) from the country by 2022 — the year which coincides with 75 years of the country's independence.

6月5日，世界环境日这一天，印度承诺在2022年之前杜绝一次性塑料的使用（比如塑料袋、吸管和水瓶等），而2022年恰逢印度独立75周年。

The annual average per capita consumption of plastic in India is at 11 kg as against global average of 28 kg.

目前，印度人均塑料消耗量为11公斤，而全球的人均消耗量为28公斤

Every educated person knows that plastic in bottled water and its use in food related things causes cancers and other life threatening deceases.Even plastic has killed the flourishing jute bag industry which was eco friendly.Man is making the earth hell himself and big businessmen and their lobby is behind it.These big sharks do not use plastic in their home in food etc and takes all precautions but they are not putting any efforts to pull it out.Government decision is praise worthy but to see it's implementation.

麻袋业本来欣欣向荣的，塑料出现后就不行了，而麻袋是对生态友好的。

人类把地球搞成了地狱，背后是大商人及其游说群体。

那些大亨在家里是不会使用塑料的。

Please implement compulsory segregation of waste at home level. Plastics are not the culprits. Your lack of waste segregation, management and recycling is the problem. Although we use half the plastic that developed nationa use we are polluting 25 times as much.
