BEIG: Male drivers with car-pooling services in Beiing can no longer pick up female passengers after 10pm. The rule was introduced after two cases of women being raped in taxs were reported. Beiing has enough female drivers to make implementing the new rule possible.

The local government initially closed down cab-hailing service Didi. It has now allowed the company to resume limited operations with the same-sex rule, but suspended services between midnight and 6am.

To make this rule reach it's finality, it has to be vice versa eg male drivers cannot pick up female passengers at night and female drivers cannot pick up male passengers at night.
