PATIALA: The case of mysterious death of a 12-year-old boy in a village in Patiala, found hanging from the ceiling of his house on June 15, has been cracked. The police have charged three men from the same village with not only killing the boy but also ra his minor sister.

Officials say the boy was strangulated by the accused after he caught them ra his 14-year-old sister. The three men then hanged the body from the ceiling to make it look like a suicide and threatened the girl with killing her parents as well if she revealed anything to them.

12岁男孩神秘死亡的案件已经告破，该男孩的尸体于6月15日那天被发现吊在屋顶上。警方指控来自同一个村子的三名男子不仅杀死男孩，而且强奸了男孩的姐姐。

当地官员称，男孩发现凶手强奸他14岁的姐姐后，被凶手勒死。三名男子将男孩的尸体从屋顶上吊下来，制造男孩自杀的假象，并威胁女孩，如果说出去，将杀掉她的父母。

The parents were out of the house on June 15 as they were attending the cremation of a villager and the boy’s sister was alone at home. The three accused allegedly forcibly entered the house and raped the girl.

The boy, who was playing in the open nearby, returned home and found the main gate locked. He entered the house by scaling the boundary wall and saw the three accused ra his sister. As he tried to raise an alarm, the three caught him and strangulated him in a bid to silence him. They hanged the body from a hook in the ceiling using a cloth to make it look like a suicide.

6月15日那天，父母不在家，去参加一位村民的火葬仪式，男孩的姐姐独自在家里。3名被告疑似强行进入屋子并强奸女孩。

男孩当时在附近玩耍，回到家后发现大门是紧闭的。随后，男孩爬墙进入，发现3名男子在强奸他姐姐。正要报警时，三名男子抓住并勒死他，然后用衣服将尸体吊在屋顶上，制造男孩自杀的假象。

The parents, who work as labourers, returned home and found the boy’s body and informed the police.

Both the parents and police refused to buy the suicide theory from the start. The parents had initially alleged that the boy’s maternal uncle could have murdered the boy because of some old resentment. The police finally approached the girl, suspecting that she knew more than what she was revealing. She finally broke down and narrated the entire story.

All the three are absconding with police teams trying to track them down. Officials said they had an idea about their hideout and expected to arrest them soon.
