The electric scooter was being charged in their home near the balcony on Wednesday when it suddenly burst into a ball of fire in their living room.

The scooter had been charging for seven hours when the accident happened, according to reports citing the owner.

Noticing that something was wrong, the father rushed to unplug the device from the power source.

However, thick black smoke intensified and the man immediately grabbed his daughter with their small pooch in tow and made a run for the door.

that's the problem with LiPo batteries, if they get damaged either externally or internally they go up like a firework with toxc fumes. if you're going to charge one, you can get special bags that contain the fire. or alternatively do it outside.
