On Wednesday, the 21-year-old daughter of a rickshaw-puller and a tea-picker won India’s first heptathlon gold in the Asian Games,

8月29日，人力车夫的21岁女儿，为印度拿到了首枚亚运会七项全能金牌。

（注: 七项全能比赛顺序为第一天100米跨栏跑、跳高、铅球、200米跑；第二天跳远、标枪、800米跑。女子七项全能是一个高难度的项目，只有经过多年全面系统训练，在所有项目全面提高的基础上，突出自己特长项才能取得优异的成绩。短距离跑在全能训练中占有重要的位置 ，而熟练掌握100米栏、跳高、跳远、标枪技术则是成功的关键。

七项全能（heptathlon）是一种包括七项比赛的运动竞技，其英文名字“heptathlon”是从“hepta”（意思为七项）及“athlon”（意思为竞技）而得来。而在专门的角度来说，这是一个包括了七个田径项目的一个运动项目。

而七项全能分为两项, 一个的户外, 另一个是室内项目, 前者则是女性参加, 而后者则是男性参加的。）

What a brave and strong girl! I saw what incredible pain she was in because of her injury, especially in high jump & shot put. Others might have given up, but this is one tough, determined girl. Despite all difficulties with her injury, shoes etc. won the gold. Proud that she is an Indian!
