NEW DELHI: On the concluding day of its national executive meet, BJP on Sunday slammed the opposition for 'unfounded' criticism of its government and expressed confidence that it will come back to power in 2019 by wng even a larger number of seats than it did in 2014.

新德里：在周日的全国执行委员会闭幕日上，人民党抨击反对党对其政府“毫无根据的”批评，并表示有信心在2019年重新掌权，赢得比2014年更多的席位。

"This government has vision, passion and imagination, and the works of this government can be seen. By 2022, India will be free of terrorism, casteism, communalism and nobody will be homeless," BJP leader and human resource development minister Prakash Javadekar told reporters on the second-and-final day of his party’s national executive meet in the capital.

印度人民党领袖、人力资源开发部长Prakash Javadekar在首都召开的全国执行委员会上对记者表示：“本届政府有远见、有激情、有想象力，其工作成果是有目共睹的。到2022年，印度将摆脱恐怖主义、种姓制度、社群主义，没有人会无家可归。”

During the meeting, the saffron party presented a resolution to chalk a strategy for the upcoming assembly polls and Lok Sabha polls scheduled to take place next year.

在会议期间，人民党提出了一项决议，拟为即将举行的议会选举和定于明年举行的人民院选举制定一项战略。

The resolution was presented by the senior party leader and home minister Rajnath Singh.

Javadekar also dismissed the opposition’s attempt to forge an alliance of regional parties as ‘hogwash’. "The opposition is dreaming. Neither do they have a leader, nor a strategy. Their negative mindset is driven by the sole objective of thwarting the Modi-led government from coming to power in 2019," he said.

The BJP leader was referring to opposition parties' efforts to cobble an anti-BJP alliance to stop the BJP-led NDA government from retaining power in the 2019 Lok Sabha polls.

Giving a list of his government's achievements, Javadekar highlighted the 'pro-farmers' initiatives, the 'improvement' in the internal security of the country, and the 'unprecedented' growth of country's economy.

He said Modi was the most popular leader in the country and even after four years in power, Modi's approval rating is more than 70 per cent.

Yesterday, BJP chief Amit Shah had launched a blistering attack on the opposition in his inaugural address at the party's two-day national executive meet, the BJP chief said the "mahagathbandhan" (grand alliance) of his party's rivals was for the sole purpose of "fulfilling self-interest", adding that it had defeated each one of them in the 2014 Lok Sabha polls.

昨天，人民党主席阿米特·沙阿在为其两天的全国执行委员会上发表就职演说，猛烈抨击了反对党。阿米特·沙阿表示：人民党竞争对手“大联盟”的唯一目的是“现实自身利益”,并称他们在2014年人民院选举中曾将他们一一击败。

He had asserted that the saffron party would return to power in 2019 with a bigger majority than what it got in 2014.

"Such an alliance would make no difference to the BJP's fortunes and the party's win in 2019 was certain," he said.

The BJP president also assured his party members that the party win the upcoming elections in Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Rajasthan and emerge victorious in Mizoram and Telangana.

During the meeting, party members also lauded Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his initiatives to raise Minimum Support Price (MSP), Soil Health Card scheme and Fasal Bima Yojana for the welfare of farmers.

在会议上，党员们还称赞了莫迪总理提高最低支持价格(MSP)、土地健康卡计划等为农民谋福利的倡议。
