Kunming railway station was still what it was in my memory, post-1990s modern in style but a little old in appearance and bit shabby too.

昆明火车站仍是我记忆中的样子，90年代后的现代风格，但外观已经有点旧了。

Yunnan perhaps is one of the very few provinces not yet connected to the High Speed Rail network to which even a province as remote as injiang was connected in December this year.

云南或许是少数几个尚未连接到高铁网络的省份之一。今年12月，就连新疆这样偏远的省份也接入了高铁网。

昆明开往丽江的火车

The train I took from Kunnming. It was a daytime train from Kunming to Lijiang. This mountainous single-track line requires nearly 9 hours for covering a distance of 517 km, much slower than the parallel expressway which is undeniably a transportation marvel that has conquered the once unconquerable Yunnan-Guizhou plateau. Well, as a whole-hearted railway enthusiast, I chose what my instinct guided me to. The train was an epic travel equipment itself when it traveled on the eastern bank of Erhai in the city of Dali. Dali is a charming place, mainly inhabited by Bai nationality. I have been there before and I still remembered that 3.5-RMB vegetarian feast that I had 4 years ago in a monastery on the mountain of Cangshan which oversees the ancient wall of Dali and the fascinating lake of Erhai. Even thought this time my destination of Liinag, let me bring to you some pictures from my records, just like they came back in my thoughts as the train coursed through the hills and valleys I had trekked during my previous visit.

我是从昆明搭乘的火车。这是从昆明到丽江的日间火车。这条多山的单轨铁路长达517公里，耗时近9小时，比平行高速公路要慢得多。不可否认，平行高速公路是征服了一度不可征服的云贵高原的交通奇迹。作为一名铁路发烧友，我选择了直觉引导我去做的事情。当火车在大理的洱海东岸行驶时，它本身就是一个史诗般的旅行工具。大理是一个迷人的地方，主要居住着白族。我以前去过那里，我记得4年前在苍山上的一个寺院里，吃了一顿3.5元的素食大餐。这次我的目的地是丽江，让我给你们展示一些照片，就像在我上次去的时候，火车穿过我曾经走过的山峦和山谷时，我又想起了这些照片。
