Chetak CH442 helicopter crashes at INS Rajali naval base near Chennai

CHENNAI: A Chetak CH442 helicopter, which was on a training sortie, crashed at INS Rajali naval base in Arakkonam near here on Monday. There were no fatalities in the accident.

There were three crew members onboard.

The helicopter was carrying out a dry winching sortie when it crashed on to the base.

The main and tail rotors of the helicopter had been damaged and the crew members were safe, said an official.

报道称，事故发生时，这架“猎豹”直升机正在进行训练。机上人员安全。直升机机身主体部位和尾部都有损坏。

A statement from that Navy said it was a case of hard landing. The cause of the hard landing was being investigated.

印度海军的一份声明称，直升机当时在硬着陆，硬着陆的原因目前正在调查。
