Me: Sorry teacher, I ran late finding my bag.

Teacher: Finally where did you get that?

Me: Under my bed.

Teacher: That's enough. Chalo side me aur murga ban jao (take a corner and hold your ears by passing your hands through your legs)

老师:你为什么迟到了?

我:对不起老师，我迟到是因为找不到书包。

老师:你最后从哪儿找到的?

我:床下。

老师:够了。在角落呆好，把你的手穿过你的腿，抓住你的耳朵，像这样

In my school, this punishment was deployed on both girls and boys without any difference. Once a girl protested then teacher said, “If gender equality is spreading everywhere then why should I choose different punishment for girls”.

I think there is no another punishment which is more embarrassing than this for me in my school life.

在我的学校，这种惩罚对男孩和女孩一视同仁。有一次一个女孩提出抗议，老师说:“如果到处都讲究性别平等，那我为什么要为女孩选择不同的惩罚方式呢?”

我认为在我的学生生涯中没有比这更令人尴尬的惩罚了。

I don't promote teachers torturing students at schools and this is my personal experience.

The most embarrassing punishment which I faced in my school life was when a teacher simply took a pencil, twirled it between my fingers, closed and pressed my fist with his strength.

It pains like hell.

我不提倡老师在学校里折磨学生，这是我个人的经历。

在我的学校生活中，我所面临的最尴尬的惩罚就是老师拿起一支铅笔，放在我的手指间，用力握紧我的拳头。

痛死本宝宝了。

Why is it embarrassing?

It is so embarrassing because it leads to redness and shivering of fingers. You want to drop off some tears but you can't because that would be a good opportunity for the fellow classmates to make fun off. You basically have to hide your pain, tears and act as if you enjoyed it. This piece of acting does not helps as students know how much it would have hurt.

为什么说它让人难堪?

这是如此令人尴尬，因为它会让我的手指变红、颤抖。你想掉眼泪，但你不能，因为那会是同学们取乐的好机会。你得隐藏你的痛苦、眼泪，表现得似乎乐在其中。但这种表演无济于事，因为学生们都知道这有多痛。

This happened in my I standard. Myself and my friend both were sitting in the front row next to each other. My friend challenged me to finish her lunch box without get caught and noticed by the teacher during the Tamil period. I agreed for the challenge. As soon as Tamil mam came, she passed her lunch box to me. Our teacher used to stand before us (like this).

这发生在我的十二年级的时候。我和我的朋友都坐在前排。我的朋友向我挑衅，让我吃光她的午餐，但不能被老师发现。我同意了。泰米尔妈妈一到，她就把她的饭盒递给我。我们的老师过去常常站在我们面前(像这样)。

Her mom made yummy dosas for the lunch. Once, I opened the box I was like

她妈妈做了好吃的小点心给我们当做午餐。有一次，我打开了餐盒，我当时的表情是这样的

I finished the whole box within 2–3 minutes casually without get caught to my teacher. My friend was shocked.

In return, I asked her to remove her specs, flip and wear it in Rainikanth sir style.

我在2-3分钟内就把一整盒食物都吃完了，没有被老师发现。我的朋友很震惊。

作为回报，我让她脱下眼镜，像Rainikanth 老师那样佩戴眼镜。

She agreed and removed her specs. When she was about to start rotating her hand, our teacher noticed her. She yelled at my friend and asked her to get up from the place.

Teacher pinched the cheeks of my friend and asked her to stand before the black board in this posture without leaning on the wall.

她同意了，摘下了眼镜。当她正要开始动手时，我们的老师注意到了她。她对我的朋友大喊大叫，叫她离开座位。

老师捏了捏我朋友的脸颊，让她以这种姿势站在黑板前，不许靠在墙上。

This was the most embarrassing punishment for my friend.

这是对我朋友最难堪的惩罚。

The most embarrassing punishment those days was to sit beside a girl on the same bench.

You are totally surrounded by girls and they keep on giggling behind you, making you wonder, are you suffering from wardrobe malfunction?

那时候最难堪的惩罚就是跟女同学同坐一条板凳。

你的周围全是女孩，她们在你身后不停地笑，让你都好奇你是不是出了什么毛病?

I have suffered it and but regret it as to why I didn’t enjoy that moment.

But those days were indeed beautiful.

我曾经遭受过痛苦，但很遗憾，为什么我没有好好享受。

但那些日子确实很美好。

“I am not taking presenty" (that's the word they commonly use in India for attendance). Where are your practicals?

“Here it is Ma'am”.

Same dialogues go on till roll no.8.

女士：不许找借口!现在马上交作业!

“第一组”

“到，老师!”

“我不是在点名”(印度人通常用这个词表示点名)。你们的作业呢?

“给您，老师。”

同样的对话一直进行到第八组。

“Roll no. 8 !” She cried.

“Sorry Mam, I didn't bring my practical notebook!”

“OK no problem”

After the calling out all the names -

“Lalit, You didn't bring your practical notebook, right?

“Yes Ma'am”

“You did a great job! You must get a reward!”

Nervousness covered my face.

“Everyone will come and slap Lalit with honor as hard as you can”

And getting slapped by girls is a big embarrassment.

What's more, there are some Absolute Cuckoos always present to warm their hands.

Most dreadful punishment I have ever had until now!

“第八组！”她喊道。

“对不起，老师，我没带!”

“好的，没关系”

在叫出所有的名字之后-

“拉拉特，你没带你的作业本对吗?”

“是的，老师”

“你干得很好!你必须得到奖赏!”

我一脸的紧张。

“每个人都过来，给拉利特一记耳光，越用力越好”

被女孩扇耳光真是再尴尬不过了。

迄今为止，这是我受到过的最可怕的惩罚!

We had to remove our socks and shoes, place it in Principal’s cabin and then attend the entire day in school bare feet.

I don’t know if it happens now, but I was once punished in the most embarrassing way one could!

I was in 3rd std, in a school in Sagar, MP. There was this sir who was the most stringent and the most feared in school. One fine day(not fine for me) I remember I did some mischievous thing, probably teased a girl, I cant remember exactly! I am 21 now. So the girl complained to sir, and I was called in front of whole class!

First, he shouted at me, and then the very next moment, to my surprise, he caught hold of my legs and held me upside down. WTF! And then again he started saying something, probably giving some warnings to class holding me as an example. Only thing I can recall now is I was watching the ground, and my pencil falling off my pocket lying besides his big boots! I was able to hear the class laughing!

The next day, this news spread as wildfire in school, and I was being called ‘chamgadad’ since, (bat). Next year I left the school. This is probably the most embaarassing punishment a teacher can give and most inhumane too!

我不知道现在是否还会发生这样的事，但我曾经被以最难堪的方式惩罚过!

我那时在萨加尔的一所学校读三年级。这位老师是学校里最严厉、最令人闻风丧胆的。再一个风和日丽的日子(对我来说那天并不太好)我记得我搞了点恶作剧，可能是戏弄了一个女孩吧，我已经记不清了!我现在都21岁了。女同学向老师报告我的劣行，我被叫到全班同学面前!

首先，他对我大喊大叫，接着，令我吃惊的是，他抓住我的腿，把我倒过来。我去！然后他又开始说了些什么，大概是向那些以我为榜样的同学警告了一番。现在我唯一能记得的是，我当时正看着地面，我的铅笔从口袋里掉下来，掉到他的大靴子旁边!我听到了全班同学都爆笑起来!

第二天，这个消息像野火一样在学校里传开了，从此人送外号“蝙蝠”。第二年我离开了学校。这也许已经是老师能给学生的最严厉，也是最不人道的惩罚了吧!
