这名女子名叫桑德拉•曼纽拉•达科斯塔•马其多（Sandra Manuela Da Costa Macedo），拍照的时候，她半坐在阳台栏杆上，最后背朝后向下倒了下去。视频录像显示，当她最后摔到地面时，手里仍然握着自拍杆。

医护人员在事发后赶到了现场，但马其多早已无生命迹象。
