印度火车撞入人群，58人死亡

AMRITSAR: It turned out to be a dark Dussehra as 58 people lost their lives in less than a minute, in a most horrific and bizarre train accident. A train at full speed tore through revellers who had been pushed back about 100 feet from the periphery of a burning effigy of Ravan.

The men, women and children moved back onto the railway tracks. In the shadow of flames and crackle of explosions, none saw or heard the whistle of the rapidly approaching train. Death was immediate.

不到一分钟，一起可怕的火车事故，夺走了58人的生命。一列全速行驶的火车，撞入正在观看焚烧神像的人群中。

当时人们聚集在铁轨附近观看焚烧神像，周围伴有爆竹声，所以未听到火车的鸣笛。

目击者称，政府和警察没有封锁铁轨，还不清楚政府是否允许在铁路旁举行庆祝活动。当地政府宣布向死者家属赔偿50万卢比（约合4.7万元人民币），在公立或私立医院救治的伤者将会被提供免费医疗。

The railway track are installed for train to move not people standing on tracks . They have the right of way , sorry that this tragedy happened but railway is not at fault. People can see this big fast moving train but the driver can’t see a crowd from a distance and brake. Stop blaming game and think with sense , pray for the dead and learn valuable lesson.
