The F22 Raptor is not exactly new (designed in the 1990s, in service since 2005), and even if this Chinese plane is as good (which I doubt) they've only just caught up to where the US was over a decade ago.

Just because it looks bad azz does not make it a threat. Pilot training, quality control, reliability, manufacturing, maintenance all go into it...all of which western military's excel at. Especially the US. I doubt Pentagon planners are very losing any sleep..
