Experts have slammed a team of scientists in China who claim to have altered the DNA of twins to grant them immunity to HIV, the AIDS virus.

The number I seem to recall was that Dolly was the 130th attempt or something in that range. All the attempts before her were either still birth or born with debilitating genetic problems that resulted in death soon after birth. That's why such things are banned in humans. Can you imagine if these twins were the result of 100's of previous attempts? I work in biological science. It is simply impossible to imagine that they were successful on their first attempt. That simply never happens. They clearly have no controls over there.
