Now go ahead and select something positive for 2019 people! Enough of this gloom and doom. They have symbols for 'prosperity' or 'good health', right?

现在去为2019年选择一些积极的汉字吧!这种悲观和厄运已经够多了。也代表“繁荣”或“健康”的不是吗?

According to the internet.. China, like Rome, was a strong political center of it's region. And much like how many languages in Europe adopted and re-tooled the Latin alphabet to write down their local vernacular, Chinese was adopted and re-tooled to write Japanese, Korean, and Vietnamese.

和罗马一样,也是该地区强大的政治中心。就像欧洲有很多语言采用并重新使用拉丁字母来书写当地方言一样,汉语也被日语、韩语和越南语借鉴采纳

It's not that simple. Their written language is based on 3 character sets. Hiragana, katakana and Kanji (based on Chinese characters borrowed from China). So this would be another Kanji character.

日语的书写体是基于3个字符集平假名、片假名和汉字(基于从借来的汉字)。所以这是日本汉字
