India is a land not only of cultural diversity but also of food, as many very well mentioned. Though I had a hard time adapting to the spicy food, I now get along quite well with anything because, in this heat you simply can’t digest without some extra fire ;)

Finally, India is a large country with 1.5 billion people. Sure you find those of whom you hear in news, those few out of many who do very bad things (that also happen not far from my house), but which country doesn’t have the same?

We have people from all kind of backgrounds trying to keep up with the fast pace of development and they NEVER GIVE UP, no matter if they are rich or living in a tent made of plastic bags. Those children playing in the slum behind the society still have smiles on their faces, happy to have what they do.

In short, what I love about India and the Indians is the positive attitude towards everything. Maybe too much positive, that is why they are misunderstood by many.

I remember being disturbed by blunt gazes from Indian males in my first time here, I felt like an alien.

But after living here since over 4 years and speaking Hindi fluently, I realize it wasn’t their fault. Now people who don’t know me are simply so happy to hear me speak their tongue, they have to point it out. They feel proud as they should.

And those annoying gazes are gone, because I changed my attitude.

So what do I like about India?

That’s a difficult question, I could go on and on and I’d never go out of incredibly amazing positive things to say. So I’ll keep it short and say, I love India, I love everything about it and I’d not leave it unless I really must.

And what do I dislike? Nothing, really, I mean the things to dislike are nothing particular to this country, you’ll find them anywhere you go. So I choose to ignore dislikes and focus on the greatness of this wonderful country and its people Jai Hind

The variation, the warmth, the beauty (natural), the colour and the endearing expressions!

I’ll start with the expressions: Indian people do a kind of head wobble (incredibly endearing) this is neither a definite yes or no, and this confuses a lot of travelers. The head wobble is generally a yes, but it can also mean, ‘maybe’, or even ‘I don’t know’. Indian people will not usually give a definite ‘no’ as an answer and will either say, ‘yes’ and walk away, or they will give you the head wobble. They do this out of politeness.

I love the expressions they use - India is so linguistically varied at least the gesture is the same!

多样化，温暖，美景(大自然)，颜色和可爱的表情!

I also love the variety. I had heard that India had many dialects and the country was very linguistically varied, that people in the North could not understand the people in the South . I never really understood this concept entirely until today traveling in the State of Karnataka from Goa to Badami only a few hours by car and the language changed completely.

The colour- Oh Holi is like nothing on earth… no country is as vibrant and colourful as India.

The natural beauty- India has such variety in landscapes. Lush green valleys, snow-capped mountains , emerald green lakes and beautiful beaches. There is everything in India and many do not experience it all! India offers all the natural beauty of 20 x counties
