10 women, including 3 Malaysians, have so far visited Sabarimala: Police

警方：包括3名马来西亚人在内的10名女子，已经进过沙巴瑞玛拉神庙(Sabarimala)

Police have now claimed that there are unconfirmed reports of least four more women below 50 having visited Sabarimala since January 1, taking the total number to 10. It is learnt that police have collected details of all these women, to be produced before a court of law if required.

警方称，未经证实的报告显示，自从1月1日以来，至少又有4名50岁以下的女子进过沙巴瑞玛拉神庙，使得进入过该寺庙的女性达到10人。

据悉，警方已经收集了所有这些女子的信息，必要时可以交给法院处理。

I am a 71 year old Malaysian man who has done pilgrimage to Sabarimalai several times and have known the traditions of the yatra very intimately. As far as I have known, Malaysian Indian older women and smaller numbers of girls below 10 years have gone to Sabarimalai for years without impediments from authorities. These women, and indeed I believe all Hindu women have been self regulating religiously when it came to Sabari yatra. Why the hell is all this fuss now. Who are the initiators of the present problem?

Haha! I pity all those people who feel that entry of menstruating women makes the temple "impure". Such people are nothing but fools of the highest order. Why do you want to discriminate against women for something which is not in their control? When men masturbate, drink at the foot of the temple and do such other nonsense things they are not considered impure, but if a women of menstruating age enters a temple a hue and cry is raised and there are statewide protests!
