NEW DELHI: A MiG-27 aircraft of the Indian Air Force (IAF) crashed near Jodhpur in Rajasthan on Sunday, according to officials.

The pilot of the MiG-27 aircraft has ejected safely. The aircraft was on a routine mission when it crashed.

该米格-27的飞行员成功弹射逃生，坠毁时该战机正在执行例行任务。

The MiG 27 UPG jet took off from Utarlai airforce base and the jet experienced engine problems leading to the crash at around 11:45 AM in Sirohi district about 120 km south of Jodhpur, officials said, adding that the pilot ejected safely.

官员称，这架米格-27 UPG喷气式战机从乌塔莱空军基地起飞，上午11点45分左右在焦特布尔以南约120公里处的西罗希区发生引擎故障，导致飞机坠毁。飞行员成功弹射逃生。

Preliminary reports indicate no loss of property or life on the ground.

"A court of inquiry will investigate the cause of the accident," officials added.

“法庭将调查事故原因。”官员补充说。

The fighter aircraft crashed in Shivganj police station area near Godana dam in Sirohi district. Police and administrative officials have reached the spot to cordon off the area, Sirohi district SP, Kalyan Mal Meena, said.

This comes just three weeks after a MiG-21 fighter aircraft of the IAF crashed + in Rajasthan's Bikaner district.
