Let me tell you that Indian dramas are doing way better than their international counterparts that do daily. Country's like Indonesia have strip shows which means 7 days a week, 30 days a month, and 365 days a year, so writer cannot take a sick leave, cannot say he is not in mood, so such hostile situation can lead to deteriorating Screenplay!

If any channel in India takes the risk of making finite series of 26 episode a season per year, I bet India has talent to upstage Hollywood, Korea is way behind, and will remain.

Unfortunately, I have written serials in six countries, but cannot work in India as saas bahu is not my cup of tea, but I can assure you, India is teeming with talent, given right formats, world will follow what we do…

Skeptical?

No…Korea will never catch up with us, their serials are too single track to succeed in commercial environments.

The main problem being that Koreans are a little more westernised than Indians.

That proves to be a problem because the lifestyle differences are hard to cope with. If we were to make a quality Korean drama, there would be way too many changes to please the viewers and then from quality, it would become trashyy.

Boys over flowers was remade into a Hindi serial called Kaisi yeh yaariyan which the Indian viewers loved. But the changes were very annoying to those who have seen BoF because it is so trashy.

Unless, the daily Indian TV serial viewers become accustomed to the changing trends, we cannot expect quality dramas to come into India.

Both the countries are quite different in every aspects for eg. Culture. Also depends upon the main factor that is audience. No doubt there are alot of Indian dramas quite better than korean dramas.

Indian dramas quality is way better than kdramas so telling Indian dramas are of inferior quality its just absurd
