NEW DELHI: India’s economy appears to have slowed down slightly in 2018-19, a finance ministry report has said, while listing some challenges that need to be addressed to get the momentum going.

新德里：印度财政部的一份报告称，在2018-2019财年印度经济似乎略有放缓，同时列出了一些需要克服的挑战，以推动经济增长。

The latest comments about growth come in the midst of general elections and are expected to trigger a debate about the health of the economy under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s watch. The NDA government has showcased high economic growth to highlight its governance record.

在大选期间，有关经济增长的最新评论预计将引发一场有关印度经济健康状况的辩论。

The monthly economic report of the department of economic affairs listed the factors behind the slowdown. It is a widely acknowledged fact that growth momentum in the fourth quarter of 2018-19 had slowed down due to a string of factors.

经济事务部的月度经济报告列出了经济放缓的原因。众所周知，受一系列因素影响，2018-2019年第四季度经济增长势头有所放缓。

“The proxmate factors responsible for this slowdown include declining growth of private consumption, tepid increase in fixed investment, and muted exports. On the supply side, the challenge is to reverse the slowdown in growth of agriculture sector and sustain the growth in industry,” said the report.

报告称：“造成这种放缓的直接因素包括个人消费增长放缓、固定投资增长乏力和出口疲软。在供应方面，挑战在于扭转农业增长放缓的趋势，维持工业增长。”
