Pakistan won’t go for another Kargil, it knows consequences: General Bipin Rawat

比平·拉瓦特将军：巴基斯坦知道后果，不敢再挑起另一场“卡吉尔冲突”

NEW DELHI: Army chief General Bipin Rawat on Friday said Pakistani forces will not dare to infiltrate into India like they did in Kargil two decades ago because they had “seen the consequences” of their misadventure, even as he declared that his force will soon get cracking on restructuring its headquarters in the first phase of proposed reforms.

新德里：周五，印度陆军总参谋长比平·拉瓦特表示，巴基斯坦军队不敢像20年前在卡吉尔那样渗透到印度，因为他们已经见识过了后果。

“There is no border area (against Pakistan) that we have left unguarded. Our surveillance teams are kee a tight watch and regularly patrolling the areas,” he said, speaking on the sidelines of an event to commemorate 20 years of Operation Vijay on the Kargil heights.

在纪念卡吉尔“胜利行动”20周年的活动间隙发表讲话时，比平称：“所有(与巴基斯坦接壤的)边境地区，我们均有设防。我们的监视小组正在密切监视，并定期在该地区巡逻。”

“We don’t think Pakistan will attempt something like that (Kargil) because they have seen the consequences... I can say, in coming days and years, Pakistan will not dare to attempt any infiltration,” he added.

比平补充道：“我们认为巴基斯坦不会做出那样的尝试，因为他们已经见识过后果了……我敢说，在未来的日子里，巴基斯坦不敢进行任何渗透。”
