Chinese rocket startup iSpace puts satellites into orbit for first time in bid to become 'the next SpaceX'

A Chinese commercial rocket startup has put its first satellites into orbit, challenging Elon Musk's SpaceX and Jeff Bezos's Blue Origin in the private aerospace market.  

一家商业火箭初创企业将其首颗卫星送入轨道，对埃隆•马斯克的SpaceX和杰夫•贝佐斯的“蓝色起源”构成挑战。

The rocket — developed by privately-funded iSpace — launched from a state facility in northern China on July 15, 2019.

iSpace's Hyperbola-1 rocket blasted off from the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Centre at 1 p.m. (05:00 GMT) Thursday, sending two satellites and payloads into a predetermined orbit, the company said in a statement on its official Wechat account.

“星际荣耀”在其官方微信公众号上发布的一份声明中表示，该公司的“双曲线一号”火箭于周四下午1点(格林威治时间05:00)从酒泉卫星发射中心发射升空，将两颗卫星送入预定轨道。

I imagine that Apple are rather annoyed that they have called themselves "iSpace". Apple seems to think that "iAnything" belongs to Apple whether or not it does (apart from BBC iPlayer of course)..........
