6 killed as heavy rain lashes Mumbai, more likely today

MUMBAI: Continuous heavy rain in Mumbai region claimed six lives and threw a cargo ship and Central Railway services off tracks on Saturday.

孟买：周六，孟买地区持续暴雨导致6人死亡，一艘货船被困，铁路运营暂停。

The wet spell is likely to continue as the meteorological department has issued an Orange alert for Sunday-—for authorities to be prepared—forecasting that heavy to very heavy rain is very likely at a few places in Mumbai. The IMD has issued a red alert for Thane, Palghar and Raigad.

印度气象部门周日发布了橙色预警，预计孟买部分地区很可能会有一场大到特大暴雨，雨期可能还会持续。印度气象局已对塔纳、帕尔加尔和莱加德发出红色警报。

On Saturday, Palghar, Kalyan, Vasai, Nalasopara and Virar saw extremely heavy downpour.
