NEW DELHI: In a bid to counter the growing negativity about the economy and revive growth, finance minister Niramala Sitharaman on Friday announced a slew of measures, including scrap surcharge on foreign portfolio investors (FPIs) and domestic market players and steps to improve the flow of loans and overall cash in the system, while promising easier rules and lower compliance burden on companies.

新德里：为缓解对经济方面日益增长的负面情绪以及恢复经济增长，印度财政部长西塔拉曼于周五宣布了一系列措施，其中包括取消对外国证券投资者(FPIs)和国内市场参与者征收的附加费，以及改善金融体系中贷款和整体现金流的措施，同时承诺放宽监管，降低企业的负担。

While addressing the media on Friday, finance minister Nirmala Sitharaman echoed Prime Minister Narendra Modi's words and said that wealth creators must be respected. She also stated that the global GDP (gross domestic product) growth may be revised downwards from current estimate of 3.2 per cent and global demand is going to be weak.

周五，印度财政部长西塔拉曼对媒体发表讲话时，呼应了总理莫迪的话，表示一定会尊重财富创造者。她还表示，全球GDP(国内生产总值)增长可能会从目前估算的3.2%下调，全球需求将会疲弱。
