Abhinandan Varthaman, who shot down Pak's F-16, flies fighter jet at Air Force Day Parade

NEW DELHI: Wing Commander Abhinandan Varthaman of the Indian Air Force (IAF), who shot down the F-16 jet of Pakistan during a dogfight on February 27 earlier this year, flew MiG-21 Bison aircraft on Air Force Day parade today at Hindon Air Base.

Three Mirage 2000 aircraft and two Su-30MKI fighter aircraft also flew in 'Avenger formation'. The planes were flown by pilots who took part in Balakot air strike.

Indian Air Force (IAF) celebrated 87th anniversary on Air Force Day at Hindon Air Base in Ghaziabad. Army Chief General Bipin Rawat and IAF Chief, Air Chief Marshal Rakesh Kumar Singh Bhadauria were present at the event.

The truth is that his plane was shot down and he was caputered alive and brutally beaten before pak military taken him in to custody and by showing a goodwill gesture by Pakistani government he was released he did nothing but became a prisoner.
