France hands over first Rafale jet, Rajnath performs ‘Shastra Puja’

法国向印度交付第一架阵风战机，印度国防部长举行“Shastra Puja ”仪式

NEW DELHI: Almost two decades after the IAF demanded new fighters, and a bruising political dogfight over the last couple of years, India has finally received the first omni-role Rafale jet that can outgun and outrun any exsting rival from or Pakistan as well as play a strategic role in delivering nuclear weapons if required.

印度空军要求采购新战机，已经提了快20年了，经过过去10年激烈的争执后，印度空军最终拿到了第一架全能型的阵风战机，这种战机比和巴基斯坦任何现役战机更先进，必要时还能扮演核武器投送这一战略性角色。

（注：在印度有一个有趣的文化现象，被称为Shastra Puja，意思就是“武器崇拜”。在每年九月的印度教节日里，都要为杜尔加女神献上祝福。用宗教饰物和鲜花装扮自己的武器，这是对武器所提供的保护表示感激。古时候，人们在这个节日里用鲜花装点弓箭、刀枪和盾牌）

Egypt has 20 Rafales today ( Purchased in year 2010 ) India will have 15 in June 2021 and 24 by Oct 2022. India needs to have 70 today ... to be THE Regional power in air superiority .. based that proven 2.0 Military Superiority index
