光辉特快列车晚点，印度铁路餐饮和旅游公司（IRCTC）赔偿乘客16.2万卢比

NEW DELHI: A delay of more than three hours in the running of Delhi-Lucknow Tejas Express on October 19 has cost IRCTC around Rs 1.62 lakh which the railway subsidiary will pay through its insurance companies as compensation to around 950 passengers, a first in the history of Indian Railways, officials said on Monday.

10月19日，从德里开往勒克瑙的光辉特快，晚点超过3小时，IRCTC损失16.2万卢比。印度铁路的这家子公司将通过保险公司，向950名乘客做出赔偿，由此也创下了印度铁路历史上的首次。

train travel hrs is 6hr 15 min and passenger will be compensated if it get delay by more than 3 hrs. what a logic? it should be 1 hr in place of 3 hrs for short distance train

Why only Tejas? All passengers of other express & superfast trains should be compensated if their trains get late otherwise all trains that are to be run by private operators will be preferred over other trains which will lead to their further delays

为什么光辉特快晚点就有赔偿？其他火车晚点也应该赔偿的，否则大家以后都选择乘坐私营的列车了，坐的人多，晚点就更厉害

If the delay is due to staff errors, then recover the costs from erring staff. IRCTC is govt owned company and any compensation for delay shouldn''t come from taxpayers'' money
