PM Modi meets Nobel laureate Abhijit Banerjee, says 'India is proud of his accomplishments'

莫迪总理会见诺贝尔奖得主阿比吉特·班纳吉，称“印度为他的成就感到骄傲”

NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday met Nobel laureate Abhijit Banerjee and "had a healthy and extensive interaction on various subjects". The Prime Minister also wished him luck for his future endeavours.

新德里：周二，莫迪总理会见了诺贝尔奖得主阿比吉特·班纳吉，“双方就不同话题进行了深入交流”。莫迪总理还祝愿班纳吉今后一帆风顺。

Banerjee won the award this year jointly with Esther Duflo - a French-American economist - and fellow US professor Michael Kremer.

据报道，班纳吉与法裔美国经济学家埃斯特•迪弗洛以及美国教授迈克尔•克雷默共同获得了今年的诺贝尔经济学奖。
